We offer a range of resources, including:
Before your child starts at nursery we offer a home visit so that we can really understood your child’s needs. We will happily accommodate your family’s routines as part of settling in. It gives you, as the parent, an opportunity to discuss all the important things that we need to know and that will need to be involved in their care routines. Each child in our baby and toddler land has a ‘family worker’ who provides individual care and comfort. The staff in this room work alongside families to support the personal care needs of each baby.
All staff are professionally qualified in early years and have had specific training in under 2’s. Staff gain an understanding of all children’s individual learning styles and will use these to enhance their learning within the environment.
Our baby and toddler rooms are large open plan spaces, with en-suite cosy sleep rooms and a milk kitchen for the under 2’s. They also have access to our nature and forest school gardens.
Children can explore different experiences including construction, imaginative play, treasure baskets, sand and water exploration. We believe that it is important for children to explore as many natural materials as possible. We offer a light table where children can investigate the properties of light and shadows; exploring shape, colour and different textures.
Our babies and toddlers have access to our edible garden and forest school garden.
